Swansea manager Garry Monk says that he is excited by the transfer market that is about to start in the next few weeks. Swansea had a tough season that brought them back to earth after a campaign in which they lifted their first major title in the history of the club. Out went Michael Laudrup and in came Monk to steady the ship. He certainly achieved this and help the club to finish in the Premier league for another season. This was extremely important for the club given the relegation would have cost them a lot of money.

Swansea have revealed that four key players will not be offered new contracts at the end of the season. Former Bolton striker David Ngog is one of them. He has been at Swansea since the January transfer window after leaving Bolton. However, he has found little game time under Michael Laudrup and under current manager Gary Monk. After managing to secure another season of Premier league football, the club have decided to part ways with those players in order to strengthen the squad in the summer.
