Garry Monk is the current manager of Swansea City and the English manager has admitted in saying that it was Brendan Rodgers who set the benchmark at the club as all the managers of the club from now on have to achieve what Rodgers did.

What he did for our club is fantastic and it’s the benchmark for us. Any manager who comes in but especially for me, because I played under him and worked very closely with him, what he achieved is an inspiration and it’s an inspiration for me to try and get this side to 47 points.
“He did a great job for our club and if we can do the same or try to improve on it then great, that’s what you have to try to do as a manager.”

During the Premier League promotion season of Swansea City when Rodgers pushed the team to the top tier league of England, this was the first time in the history of the club that they managed on getting into the Premier League and the club were favorites on being relegated but they somehow avoided getting into the bottom relegation zone.
