Former Liverpool striker David N’Gog has signed a one-year contract with Greek club Panionios.

The club has refused to disclose the amount they paid for the player and only stated that they are happy to have signed a player of this quality.

David N’Gog has played for several European clubs before namely Reims, Paris Saint-Germain, Swansea City, Bolton Wanderers as well as Liverpool. He also has good experience of international football during his time with the French youth team.

David N’Gog said that he is happy to have signed for the Greek side and that he will do his best to help the team. He stated that he is excited to meet his new teammates and looking forward to playing with them. He believes that Panionios is a good team and that they have good support in Greece. He said that the atmosphere during games is amazing and that he cannot wait to make his start for the team.

Panionios manager stated that David N’Gog is a quality player and that he will bring some good experience in the team. He believes that the player is still hungry and that he wants to prove himself on the pitch. He said that they are convinced that the player intends to play for the club and that he wants to win trophies with them.

David N’Gog started his career with Paris Saint-Germain where he signed his first professional contract. He will make 18 appearances for the French side and scored 1 goal during the process. The Liverpool manager at that time, Rafael Benitez was convinced that David N’Gog could become a future star managed to sign the teenager. He will manage to make 63 appearances for the club and scored 9 goals during the process.

However, he will fail to get a permanent place in the team and was sold to Bolton Wanderers in 2011.
